Northwestern State University of Louisiana will use Widget Press's development tools and services to offer its community a variety of unique mobile services. Initial releases will include applications to gather and process admissions and recruiting data and other releases will target the entire university community using messaging and social activities, which will encourage collaboration and spirit of community. The applications will meld perfectly with the University's green initiatives reducing traditional materials, processes, and inherently costs

“In our Welcome Center to register people for events using an iPad. This allows individuals to sign up for an event while keeping their personal information confidential as opposed to lying around on a counter with visibility to everyone. It also allows the information to be sent directly to the event coordinator so they will know real-time who, and how many people will be involved with their event. It also provides them with email addresses to communicate with those registered.

With our ushers for attendance totals for each department during our weekend services. This is emailed to our bookkeeper.

With our ushers for financial accountability. They record the number of envelopes, checks, $20's, $10"s, etc that are placed into the safe during the service. This is immediately emailed to our bookkeeper. This allows for much greater accountability when the bookkeeper comes in during the week to do the count.”
